WIN: Le Creuset kitchenware and 2 cases of Barista wine
As most foodies know, the term “barista” refers to a person who specialises in making espresso-based coffees, and so naming our unique Coffee Pinotage “Barista” is most appropriate. Fine wines, like a fine cup of coffee, require skill and technique and a dedication to the craft, and the results are made clear from the very first sip.
Our “barista” is winemaker Bertus Fourie and he is a legend. He earned the nickname “Starbucks” for his exceptional skill in producing the coffee-flavoured Barista Pinotage. A multi-talented wine personality, Bertus is also a whizz in the kitchen and spends most of his spare time creating recipes. He particularly enjoys perfecting and enjoying dishes which pair well with Barista Pinotage.
Pinotage is one of the most versatile wines when it comes to pairing with food. The full-fruited flavour, subtle tannins and the hint of coffee in our Barista Pinotage make it very adaptable and such fun to experiment with. Mr “Starbucks” shares four of his sumptuous recipes – all of which can only improve further with a dash of Barista wine in them (except the ice-cream, of course!) and most definitely taste best alongside a bottle of Barista Pinotage.
This month, you can stand to win a beautiful Le Creuset Signature round cocotte 30cm flame casserole pot and two cases of Barista wine (12 x 750ml bottles in total). Prize valued at R3500. Click here to read the Ts and Cs.
