WATCH: Vegan Banana bread millet porridge
Preparation time : 2 min Cooking time : 20 min Servings : 2Place the raw millet, cinnamon, salt, vanilla, maple syrup, coconut milk and almond milk into a medium size saucepan and place on a medium heat. Allow the millet to absorb the liquid while continuously stirring until the grains are soft, tender and chewy.
- 1/2 cup raw millet grains
- 1 can coconut milk
- 2 ripe bananas - mashed
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup walnuts - chopped
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 Tbs nut butter
- 1 Tbs toasted coconut flakes
- honey - to drizzle (optional)
Remove millet from the heat and mash two ripe bananas. Stir the bananas into the millet and pour into warmed bowls.
Finish with toasted coconut flakes and pecan nuts. Add a spoonful of nut butter and a drizzle of honey (optional).
