Owner of beloved Jason Bakery in Cape Town has opened a new croissant café on the Camps Bay strip
If you've ever been on the hunt for Cape Town's best inner city breakfast joint, chances are you've found your way to Jason Bakery - on the corner of Bree and Bloem. This is where fans of Jason Lilley's pastries flock each morning for that instantly gratifying bite into one of life's greatest gifts - the croissant.
So it's with über-excitement that the biker-slash-baker revealed on social media that he's just opened a dedicated croissant café... on the beach!
Say hello to Hey Maison J!
The café is a partnership with the Camps Bay Pick n Pay. They currently have an opening special - a croissant and a flat white for R35 (we'll still need to check if he charges extra for almond milk - because: Cape Town). But you can also look forward to bagels, baguettes, quiches, sandwiches and of course, quality coffee. They use Salvador certified organic single-estate coffee imported from Nicaragua, for all the coffee connoisseurs.
